What is WCX?

California, Oregon, Washington and British Columbia formed the West Coast Infrastructure Exchange (WCX) in 2013 to promote the type of new thinking necessary to solve the West Coast’s infrastructure crisis. WCX is the first organization of its kind: a unique regional platform designed to serve as a translation point between the public and private sectors, and provide technical assistance regarding the use of innovative financing tools to public sector agencies in the three West Coast states.

WCX is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit with a board composed of senior representatives of the Governors and Treasurers of the member states and the Executive Director of Partnerships British Columbia. WCX was launched with funding from the Rockefeller Foundation and currently is funded by the states of California, Oregon and Washington and a grant from the MacArthur Foundation.
